A little About Ewa Beach
Ewa Beach is a historic region found in the central southern portion of the island of Oahu. Ewa Beach has rich historic roots in the plantations of Hawaii’s yesteryear, and many of the housing efforts in Ewa Beach today strive to emulate the plantation architecture of that time period. Ewa Beach has a population of roughly fourteen thousand seven hundred residents, and takes its name from a Hawaiian word for “stray”. Ewa Beach is about thirty minutes away from downtown Honolulu, and only about fifteen minutes out of Pearl City, Kapolei, and Waipahu.
Local schools in Ewa Beach include James Campbell High School, Ilima Intermediate School, Pohakea Elementary School, Ka’imiloa Elementary School, Ewa Beach Elementary School, Ewa Elementary School, Holomua Elementary School, and Keone’ula Elementary School. Ewa Beach boasts West Loch Golf Course, the New Ewa Beach Golf Club, and views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. Ewa Beach is only a short drive away from Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park and a number of excellent shopping centers and restaurants.
