I am the owner of a very rare, developed, and subdivided
fee simple property on the island of Molokai that I am preparing to offer
for the first time on the internet. It’s over half an acre large
and is composed of 3 approved and recorded parcels: one has a 2-br/1 bath-house
with large deck, the second is a vacant lot for a future rental, and the
last one is a custom built, 3 br/ 3-bath, 2 story house with a huge cedar
deck that fronts the ocean. There’s a reef about a quarter of a mile
out that keeps the water in front lagoon-like calm. This parcel also
includes another 2-br/ 1-bath house.
The view is fantastic. Extreme close-ups of migrating whales skirting
the shore and fabulous sunsets. You have a 4-island view from virtually
every room in the main house. One of my favorite things to do is
to simply sit on the deck and look at the changing moods and colors the
island of Lanai presents against a backdrop of pure sky blue and white
clouds rolling by. It is one of the rarest properties in the entire
state of Hawaii because the beach it fronts is actually recorded as being
privately owned. If you want total privacy, this is it!
The large house comes with an oversized 2-car garage, formal dining
room, and an area for a private office (all wired for multiple phone lines).
All houses come fully furnished. All three houses have sloping, cathedral
ceilings and are cooled by the constantly blowing trade winds. No
air conditioning is ever needed. The property is located on the dry
side of the island, experiencing very little rainfall, and is sunny virtually
every day of the year. The rental market is always extremely good,
even during the worst of economic times we just went through (not many
rentals on the entire island, nor will there ever be due to very restrictive
building laws). This as an ideal second or permanent home with the
luxury of a very steady and reliable income stream. The main house
is about 9 years old; the newest house is about 5 years old. The
property is located in one of the most desirable sections of the entire
island.
The island itself is incredible. It’s the main reason I decided
to build and move there. If you haven’t been here yet (and chances
are you haven’t!) it’s the only main island in Hawaii that still looks
like it’s back in the 1940s. Very rural, beautifully natural, and
extremely friendly. There’s not even a single traffic light.
The whole place is still undiscovered and not developed as a result.
That’s why it’s so rare to still find a subdivided property like this one
ANYWHERE in the entire state. There is a lifetime worth of outdoor
activities and the finest of new neighbors to be made.
