I've wanted to live in Hawaii all my life.  Now I'm ready to do it.  I
plan 
to semi-retire soon, partially depending upon when I find the right
home 
there, for a very good deal, preferably under $250,000, but I'm open
for 
the right property / deal.

I want a larger home with a larger yard (fenced or not).  Most
important, 
I'll wait for the right place at the right price.  Preferably a 
pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, HUD home, etc. at a very good price for
what 
the property is.  I'm an administrator, but have been a photographer on
and 
off all my life, so I want a home that either is, or can be improved to
look good as settings for people photos inside and out.  High ceilings,
stairs, large yard, shrubs, tropical plants, patio, trees, garden,
privacy, 
character, etc. are pluses, as is room enough to build a large 
workshop.  However, I'm totally open to looking at anything that is a
VERY 
good deal, and am in a position to move quickly.  Even a place needing 
repairs is ok, but it must be sound.  I would prefer to get in on it
before 
it gets foreclosed, thereby helping the current owner.  I will pay a 
finder's fee.

I'm going to Hawaii on my first "scouting" trip to look for a place to 
live; looking at homes and seeing what each area is like, etc.  I will
be 
there from Thursday morning, September 16, up to Monday night,
September 
27.  My schedule is:
- Hawaii (4 days):  Thursday afternoon, Sept. 16, to Monday morning,
Sept. 20
- Maui (2 days):  Monday mid-day, Sept. 20 to Wednesday morning, Sept.
22
- Kauai (2 days):  Wednesday mid-day, Sept. 22 to Friday morning, Sept.
24
- Oahu (3 days):  Friday mid-day, Sept. 24 to Monday evening, Sept. 27

Please email me listings of any homes that are similar to the house near 
sunset beach on the north shore. I am trying to get this information for a 
family member who I was recently in hawaii with and he seemed to be very 
interested in buying a home on oahu. The preice range is right around what 
the sunset house is going for. $450,000 is a good medium.. Aquick reply would be very much appreciated.
